The most famous monument of the United States of America — the legendary Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island, a few kilometers south-west of Manhattan, in New York State.
This monument was created by the French masters — the sculptor Bartholdi and the engineer Gustave Eiffel (the author of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris) and is a present of France in honor of the century of the American revolution.
